Once there was a lovely woman named Sarah and she loved animals. She owned 2 pet horses, and their names were Fuss and Pot. She loved them dearly and would do anything for them.
Anyway, one day, when she went to feed the horses she realised that their hair was getting much too long. She went and got the tool, and began clipping. Once she had finished, Sarah made a pile of the hair she had cut, ready to throw out.
"Hmmm," she thought. "Surely there is a way I can put this hair to use!" So she collected up all the hair and put it in a paper bag, then tucked it away in a drawer.
A few days later, a very cold wind was blowing heavily around where Sarah lived. Of course humans had no hair, so Sarah's head began to get cold. She tried putting a hat on, a hooded jumper, allsorts! But nothing worked. Sarah plonked herself on the hay barrell and thought. That is when she had the brilliant idea of using the horses hair!
Sarah dug out the bag of horse hair and put it all in a special bowl. She mixed it and squished it then finally got finished. She took different parts of the hair and dyed them all different colours.
So that is why today, humans have hair.
