Why Greater Yellowlegs have yellow legs?
By
Pauline
Once, all Greater Yellowlegs were known as the Greater white legs, they had the whitest legs in the pound. They would boast around mentioning that they had the most precious legs worldwide which, was true.

The Pelican family and Greater white legs were at time friends, they would tease each other of how pretty their feathers were but, this time the Greater whitelegs blurted
that the pelican’s legs were as yellow as wizz that really annoyed the Pelican and caused trouble between the two families.

Briskly, the pelican went to the smartest of all animals in the pound...The Squirrel. Remarkably, the Squirrel suggested a magic spell that would last forever....the switch, switch, say. Vigorously, the Squirrel ordered doing the spell at exactly midnight. Well, now you know what’s next. Let’s make a long story short.

The Pelicans traveled back to their and the Greater white's humongous pound and at exactly midnight, they magically did the bewitching spell well, guess what’s next, the enchanting spell worked. Now you know why Greater yellow legs have yellowlegs and approximately look like they wizz legs also, why they wistfully no longer live in the same pound.

What a phenomenal end?
