The Kind Kingdom

A myth submitted to the site by Elizabeth Tabbouche

shoeville, nj

In a far away land there was a royal kingdom. Inside the palace lived a powerful king, his wife the queen, and their two princesses Annabelle and Isabelle. Everyone in the town enjoyed having them as rulers. They would always have parties, where nobody would be left out. They always lived happily ever after.

Until one day a evil ruler named Boomer arrived into this small town. He wanted to kick the royal family out. Then take over with his evil powers. He wanted the town to have no more parties, no more flower gardens, and most of all no more rulers who made the town bright and colorful. Boomer then kicked out the family and sent them to a far away place. He said that in this place the grass did not grow and the sun did not shine. As much as the king tried to stop Boomer, it was to late. He took over the palace and made a huge, dark thunderstorm over the little town.

When the people of the town, woke up the next morning,to start the day. It did not feel the same. The birds weren’t chirping, the sky was not blue. One man got so upset he ran to the palace then banged on the door as hard as he could. Boomer, shortly arrived and just gave him an evil laugh. the slammed the door shut. Everyone was so disappointed.

Meanwhile, the king, queen, Annabelle, and Isabelle where wondering around there new home. When they saw an old man sitting on a big rock. They quickly ran up to him an asked him if he knew about the town they came from. He only knows that the grass is no longer growing and the sun is no longer shining. The king and queen were very disappointed. While Annabelle remembered something. Boomer said those words she shouted. At that moment the ran back. When they got back Boomer was in shock.
“Why are you back!,” He yelled.
“Because you said we had to go somewhere, where the grass no longer grows and the sun no longer shines. Look around we don’t see anything like that.” said the family.

At that, Boomer got so mad he flew away. With all his evil powers. Soon the town went back to normal. And of course they lived happily ever after.
