How the Scorpions got their Poisoned Tail

A myth submitted to the site by 17gcho

Arizona

A long time ago when the fist man landed on Earth, god sent the scorpions to help the humans. And this is how the scorpions got their poisoned tail.

A place called Arizona created by people who were gathering around. They couldn’t plant, nor could get water, because it was a desert. People needed to carry water from a town well, which the scorpions dog up for the people.

In a small town in Arizona, there were many kids. Kids didn’t do anything but play, because scorpions and their parents did everything to them. Kids didn’t get education they only played.
“ This is Fun!” said a child.
“Please don’t kill us. If you kill us, you won’t be able to survive.” Said the scorpions.
Zeus, the god took care of the town people, and the scorpions. Scorpions were a messenger from the god to tell him what was going on the town. While Zeus, the hero solves the problems people had.

When god decided to make scorpions to help the humans, he made scorpions to look like spiders with only few legs, because the god didn’t want people to get scared. Scorpions had weak shell and weak legs. Scorpions were good at solving problems and making tools for people to use. The only thing, scorpions got easily scared.

The children in the village liked to bother the scorpions and treated them like their toys even they knew that scorpions help humans a lot. Children like to step on the scorpions and kill them because they knew that scorpions’ skins were fragile and their bones were fragile too. Day by day, the scorpions got killed and the number of scorpions decreased.

In the end, there were no scorpions left over. People couldn’t do anything. There were no scorpions to bring food and water to them. Every day, people were dying of hunger and thirst. Of course, Zeus didn’t know about this problem, because there were no scorpions who told him about the problems in the town.
“Where did they all go?”said a woman.
“I will go to the priest and pray to the god.” said a man with a hoarse voice.

Finally, a man went to the priest to pray to the god. “God! Please help us. People are dyeing of hunger and thirst. There are no scorpions left over to help us.” Said the man.”But there was no answer. The god was busy by solving problems of another town, where the scorpions existed.

One day, when the god was checking the towns, he had noticed that he didn’t have any scorpions talking about the town in Arizona. “What happened to the scorpions?” the god asked himself. Then, he looked around the town. People weren’t in the town, they all left. There were corpses of scorpions all around the ground. By seeing the corpses of scorpions, he noticed that people had killed the scorpions.

Finally, the god decided to take all the scorpions in the world only for a few minutes, and change their forms. He made their shells and legs stronger and harder. Then, he put tails with poison to the scorpions, so humans would be afraid of the scorpions. In the end, people didn’t kill the scorpions, and lived happily ever after.
