A Dragon's Tale

Carlisle, Cumbria, England

A long, long time ago on a rocky mountain there was the biggest, most gigantic castle in the world. This castle was in Italy. In the Italian castle there lived a rich, kind king and a cruel, wicked queen. The king's daughter was very beautiful and kind just like the king.

One day the wicked queen decided to hatch a plan to kill the daughter. So the wicked queen went up to the princess and asked:
"Would you like to come to my cave with me?"
"Yes please" said the princess excitedly.
So the queen took the princess to her cave and cast a spell on her stepdaughter.

At night time this evil, smelly dragon roared over the Italian castle. The king and queen ran out of the house. The king said, "Where is my daughter?"
The queen said that she might be outside or somewhere in the castle. The king started looking for his daughter but he couldn't find her anywhere.
The next day this wildman apeared on the doorstep.
"Who are you?" asked the king.
"I am the wildman," he replied. "I am going to show you where your daughter is."
"Where IS my daughter?" asked the king.

"She is a dragon and the only way she can be a princess again is for you to kiss the dragon four times before it is 7:00am." answerd the wildman.

Suddenly the wildman remembered that the queen had cast a spell on the princess, the king was horrified!
That night the king went up to the dragon and kissed it again and again and again and again. Suddenly the dragon changed into a beautiful princess. The evil queen was defeated and sent from the castle and the king and the princess lived happily ever after.
