The Scared Animals

A myth submitted to the site by Vincent Cheng

Earth, A vast land of prairie

Have you ever wondered why birds fly away when we get close to them? Or why other animals like squirrels and rabbits run away when they see us? Well the answer lies in the past.

It all started awhile back when there wasn’t a single human being living on Earth. Animals roamed around freely in grass prairies and had all the fun the world could offer. But one day, the monkey looked at all the animals running and playing and he thought to himself, “ why don’t we have anyone ruling over us?”

This thought troubled him for a very long time and finally, he decided he was going to be the ruler of the world. He worked hard day and night to improve his skills, he lifted up heavy rocks and thought about all kinds of things. As a result from all of the stress he gave to himself, he lost all of his hair but became very intellegent, he was now a human.

He outsmarted all the animals and had tools to help him win fights. Soon all the animals were very afraid of him and ran away from him when they saw him coming. And this is why animals are always running away when they see us coming.

This story is well-written and is very meaningful. However, more intriguing adjectives would have been much better. Good Job!
