Once upon a time there was a little girl named Annie. When it was time for bed she always fussed. The reason for that was, as she claimed, the monsters in her closet. However her parents didn’t believe her and didn’t pay much attention to her ramblings.
One night Annie’s parents went out and hired a babysitter. When the little girl refused to go to bed, the babysitter got mad and put her to bed early. At first she couldn’t fall asleep but as the night went on, her eyelids became heavy.
Her dream was an odd one – it was like she wasn’t dreaming at all but rather was still awake. While she was looking at the ceiling a hand crept out of her closet. The little girl started screaming and crying – she awoke suddenly. Annie turned on the light but there wasn’t anything in the room. Her babysitter came quickly and checked the closet as well – nothing!
This continued several nights in a row and her parents started to worry. They knew that the whole story was made up by her imagination but decided to half-open the door of her room while she was sleeping and just wait to see what will happen.
Initially, everything seemed normal but suddenly the closet opened and a dark shadow peeped from it. The parents stood speechless, watching, and started shaking with fear. They entered the room and turned the light on. Fortunately they find out that “the monster” was their son, who was older than Annie and just wanted to fool them and have some fun.
So the message: if you have siblings, think twice before believing in monsters!
