The Truth About Halloween

Bourgas, Bulgaria

Halloween is just around the corner and most of you have probably heard its background story but here is what actually happened.

One day God thought that it was high time he put all evil spirits and dark creatures once and for all where they belonged- in the purgatory. In order to trick them into gathering at one place, God said that among the present ones he will choose the one, who would be given power over the others. Of course, because of their evil nature, they were all tempted and couldn't risk not going.

One sinister night they finally met - demons, vampires, witches and all kinds of living and dead, mortal and immortal wicked creatures of the shadows. While waiting for God, suddenly the ground beneath them cracked and they soon realized that they were dragged down a portal into a place, which we know call the purgatory. The evil creatures could not do anything to stop what was happening. God closed the gates of the purgatory and there was no way out.

Just when God was confident that he had done his job and now only pure would be on earth, he found out about a great misfortune. A little boy had been possessed and used as a vessel by one of the many demons and now his body and trapped soul were also in the purgatory.

God could not bear leaving an innocent human being in this doomed place. He felt very guilty about the little child and he was forced to make a deal with the evil monsters locked down there. They would set the boy free only if given something in return. Having the boy walk free back on Earth, God had to keep his end of the deal. So he granted the monsters one night each year on which they would be able to wander the world. You can all guess which one it is.
