Leprechaun Myth

A myth submitted to the site by Annie Moore

Donadea Forest, Ireland

Jake was out in the garden when he heard his mum shout "Jake, I need you to go down to the forest and get me some red berries for the dinner." So Jake went down to the forest , and when he got down to the red berry tree he saw something green moving, and said "stop." The green thing stopped. It was a leprechaun!

When Jake started to wonder whether it really was a leprecan, the leprechaun said ''I will be here tomorrow with gold. '' So Jake picked his berries and went home again. The next day, he walked to the exact spot the leprecan was in the other day, but the leprechaun was gone and there was a note saying you will find me and my gold at the end of the rainbow.

So Jake set off as soon as the rainbow appeared, and he followed it, and followed it, untill he couldn't walk any more, and he went fast asleep. The next morning he continued on, and was never seen again. Many people make this same mistake, because we all know, there is no end to a rainbow.
