The Enchanted Well

A myth submitted to the site by Amelie Barnes

Needham Market, UK

Once there was a well, people called it the enchanted well, because it was. It was the home of a monster called the Grumble Wit Monster. It was blue and grey and very gross. The worst part is when you touch it, it kills you in seconds. He never stops it hes always killing someone now and again.

He gives everyone nightmares including me, I once had a dream that I was in my bed and he sneeked up to me and took me to his dungeons to kill me. I also had a dream when he killed my mum and took her spirit and replaced it with his so he had to act like he was my mum. And the last one I don't speak about because it was very to scary and it is very hard to not think about sometimes.

The well used to be bright and all the birds came singing and singing all day but now the Grumble Wit has taken over and now its like this. . .
Now theres no nature at all, all there is, is the well, the monster and a few bones left.

On the 18th of May 1993 a lady aproched and wished for her baby to be kind and helpful, she new nothing about the monster or anything else but suprisingly nothing happend and there was a little glitter in the well, it must have come true. But then the baby started to cry and the sky went black the lady started to worry and the baby cryed lowder and lowder they ran away. They ran to the castle and reported at once that the well must go. The lady and two men road to the well and started to dig it up. It anoied the monster inside. He came out and they ran away. They ran to the castle and hid inside. The monster went back in his cave. And they lived HAPPLY EVER AFTER!
