One late summer night, Matt found half of a fortune from a fortune cookie stuck to the bottom of his shoe. It read, "You will have great...." He was very curious what the other half of the fortune read. He pondered and pondered on what it could be. He began making a list in his head.
I will have great riches... great big feet....great grandchilden.... There were so many possibilites. He had to find the other half of the fortune!!!
Matt began retracking his steps looking left and right on the ground looking for the other half of his fortune. He found a third of paper on the ground. It just had a number on it and was not the right size. He walked a little further. Something shiney caught his eye. He walked over to it. A paper with a bit of glitter on it. He turned the paper over and it read, "tuna roll from Juan's." The paper fit perfect with the other half of his mystery fortune. He couldn't believe he had wasted his time look for something so not important.
From that day on he was thankful for what he had and he made his own good fortunes instead of searching for what could have been.
