Abby knew it was a bad idea to prank people. "Let's not" She whispered to her twin sister, Zoey. "Yes! Let's!" She giggled. "But you know what Layla said. And it does look pretty spooky Zo. Why don't we just turn back right now!" Abby whined. Zoey didn't reply. "ZOEY!" She shouted at the top of her voice. She looked round, but there was no Zoey.
"Oh no" She mumbled to herself. The wind howled, swirling Abby's long beautiful hair to make it dance. She was alone.
"Boo!" Zoey bellowed into Abby's ear hole. "Shh! You'll wake everyone up!" Abby shivered. "You know what Layla said!" "And since when do the Flurry twins listen to Layla!?" Zoey gently kicked her sister. "Ouch" Abby mumbled. Zoey looked at her. She took her arm and pulled her along to a path with a set of wide, iron gates. "No. You wouldn't!" Abby murmured quietly. "Yes. I would!" Zoey laughed.
"But how are we meant to get to the house!?" Abby asked. "Easy! Like I told you; we climb the gates, then we knock on the door until you hear someone coming, then we make a run for it, and when he asks who's there, we'll jump out on him!" Zoey plotted. She took her arm again to help her climb the gates. "I can't do it!" She yelled. Abby fell from the top,. Blood poured out from her scraped knee. But Zoey couldn't help because she was on the other side now, already going ahead with the prank.
Zoey knocked loudly, not caring about Abby. She heard footsteps and ran behind a bush. "Who dares to knock on my door!?" A loud, elderly voice bellowed. The was no answer. "I said; WHO DARES TO KNOCK ON MY DOOR!?" The voice called again. "Whoooo!" Zoey whispered, pretending to be a ghost. "Ah. You wan't a joke, eh!" He said a little softer.
"Just you wait, Kid, just you wait!" And with that he walked back into his home laughing.
Abby saw everything. She gasped in horror. "Zoey, come out, quickly!" She cried, still in a lot of pain. Zoey didn't reply. Abby attempted to get up on her feet, but failed. Her sharp ears heard some footsteps. Her heart was pounding. "Abby! Zoey!" A voice cried nervously. It was the Flurry twin's mother. Despite the darkness of the night sky, she saw Abby laying down in agony. "Mum!" She cried!
"Oh darling! Whatever happened!? And where on earth is that sister of yours!?" She asked in a hurry.
"I...Urr fell...from a tree!" She lied, thinking that her twin was already in enough trouble. She felt her spine tingle. "Zoey's gone. The man took her"......
