Chicago, Indiana Dublin on cry womans bridge, America
This one appears all over the world. We've taken care of about a dosen already. The basic story goes like this:
A young woman, in despairing fury over the treatment at the hands of her husband, murders her children. Or she kills them because they prevent her from marrying the man of her dreams. In either case she dies and becomes a spirit so we have to take her out and send her back to the after life. Usually spirits are formed by running away from there reaper but who would want to spent eternty not beeing able to touch and nobody could have any idea you were there. Anyway the most famuse version s probably the mexican one:
The legend goes that long ago an Indian princess, Dona Luisa de Lovoros fell in love with a handsome young noble man named Don Nuno de Montescarlos. She loved the noble man deeply and had 2 kids by him Alai'va dai and Ondran un but when she asked him to marry her he left immidiatly for another woman. When he finally deserted her Dona Luisa went mad with rage and killed her own two children. Authorities found her wandering the street sobbing, her clothes coverd in blood. They charged at her with infanticide and sent her to the gallowes. Ever since the gohst of llorna ( the crying woman) walks the street at night in her bloody dress shouting for her lost children. If she finds any child she is lightly to carry it away wth her to the neither regions. Were her own spirit dwells.
Even this is a newer version of a much older story. Maybe all the way back to when the conquistadors were doing there own thing along the Rio Grande-which just goes to show you how long these spirits have been around. Theres another version closer the the United States recorded outside dallas. In this one, known as the gohst of white rock lake. llorna comes together with the most famouse urban legend, The vanishing hitchhiker. In this one, a driver ( almost aways at night ) picks up a hitchhiker who then dissapeard as the car passed the grave yard or gives an adress thad turns out to be a long abandond house. Our farther had some pretty definite idea's about the vanishing hitchiker:
Dangerouse because preys on one of the humans highest qualities. The impulse to help those in need. The problem with the vanishing hichiker is that it never stays vanished. It leavs a token somtimes, witch leads the person that offerd the ride to try and find it again. Usually that search leads strait to a graveyard and theres one less good samaritan in the world. Some spirits know they can' approach directly and some just love the game of taking advantage of the better side of human nature.
Around white rock lake you'll see strange flickering lights and here frightning noises and the locals will probably tell you the story if you stick around long enough to hear it. Theres a pretty girl in a white evning dress, soaking wet who flags down a ride then dissapears before the rider gets to her destionation. Theres the same girl, showing up on the porches of lake side houses then dissapearing leaving just a soaking puddle of water and a fading echo of her screams. we've heard other La llorna cases in bachelors grove, Cemetery, chicago; fort monroe virgina cry womans bridge dublin, Indiana calumet bridge in Gary Indiana- somthing about chicagoland seems to draw them like flies. But we've heard of woman in white/ vanishing hitchiker legends from as far away as Singapore. Those are the harmless ones. The ones we havn't taken care of yet because either they're just wandering spirits or haven't gotten around to turning malevolent yet!
What in the name of hell are they talking about I think they made this up

sounds like Supernatural's pilot episode. Where the spouse/boyfriend is unfaithful, she asks for a ride home and then kills them.

it is also believed that a woman in white who takes the lives of her children then her own because her husband was unfaithful will appear only to hitchhikes with a spouse and if the driver tries to cheat the spirit will take his life, and that the woman will take you to her house then say she cannot go home then take you to the place that she killed herself.
