The Dragon Of Death

A myth submitted to the site by Izzy Carys

Merthyr, Wales

A long time ago there was a village and in the village there was a friendly dragon well people thought he was friendly. Every time he took someone in his cave he MURDERED THEM. Well we think he murdered them because anybody that ever went in the cave never came out.

One day a man wanted to put a stop to what was happening so he got all the village together for a big meeting. The plan was to trap the dragon and burn him to the stake and his cave with him and do a big funeral for all the people that had died because of the dragon. So the trap was made.

The dragon walked out of his cave and he fell down the ditch that they'd made and down the ditch was lava so he got burnt and died. Then they had a funeral for all the people who died and had a big feast that night and that man was put as a hero and nobody ever saw a dragon again.
