Cardadock, an evil giant who lived on the tallest mountain, always thought he was the mightiest giant on Earth. Until the master of the Elves said that his people had captured a mightier giant. This, in true Elven nature was a lie. They, in fact, had merely made a big, wooden statue of a man.

When Cardadock saw it, he was petrified. He dropped his torch which rolled over to the statue. The statue immediatly burst into flames. In a fit of anger, Cardadock flung it into the sky.
