Hercules Helped

A myth submitted to the site by Vina

Long ago, before the minotaur got defeated by Theseus, the minotaur didn`t live in a labyrinth. He lived in a place near a large boulder that seperated the Ladies of the Amazon and the minotaur.

One sunny afternoon , King Minos wanted to hire the minotaur to eat 7 women and 7 men every year. So one day the evil monsters met and the king told the minotaur what he had wanted. The king explained how the minotaur could get more food if he said yes. However, at this very moment, Jason,a hero, was exploring to see if he could find a magical island or something. But, he did not find anything but a tiny diamond that if you wished for something you could get it from the magical diamond. Since it was one of the Amazon Ladies birthday, decided he would give it to her.

As he walked to the Amazon Ladies, he could hear two people talking!Jason hid behind the bushes to hear the people talk. They sounded like monsters! He crept a little closer to the people and realized that one of the people were King Minos and the other sounded like a nasty, old, horrible minotaur! It sounded like they were planning to hire the minotaur to decrease the people of greece! Jason did not like the idea of this so he ran to the Amazon Ladies, gave the diamond to the one with the birthday, and ran to the village. He had to let his friend Ariadne know!

As he cornered to Ariadne`s, he thought about the plan they would make to kill the minotaur. But as he ran, he tripped over a rock , fell in the water and drowned. They never saw him again.
