The Great Escape

A myth submitted to the site by Millie P

Ulster, Northern Ireland and Scottland

There was a man called Finn MCool. Finn lived in Northern Ireland. He found out that a man called Banandonner had a secret stash of gold. Benandonner was also known as the Red Man and he lived in Scotland.

Finn decided to travel to Scotland to steal the gold but he couldn't swim accross the sea so he built a path instead and walked.

When he arrived at Benandonner's castle, Benandonner was sleeping. Finn grabbed the gold but Benandonner woke up and chased him out of the castle. Finn ran back across the path and escaped back to Ireland but Benandonner drowned. Finn and his family were very pleased he was dead and they lived happily ever after (with his gold!)
