One day on a hill near a farm village there was a boy playing. He was bored sitting next to a tree stump, so he decided to play a trick. “Help, help – there’s a Werewolf!” he shouted down the hill. The people from the village ran up with weapons to help him.
When they got there, they saw nothing, only the boy laughing, “There is no such thing as a Werewolf you fools!” he said. The villagers were very angry and walked back down the hill.
The next day, the boy played the same trick again. “Help, help, there’s a Werewolf!” he cried. The villagers ran up the hill again only to find the same boy pointing and laughing at them. They were very, very angry now. “In future” they said, “when you shout for help, we will not come back, because it will be a trick!”
Just after the villagers had left, the boy saw a real Werewolf coming out of the woods to get him.
“Help, help, there’s a REAL Werewolf coming” he screamed. “Don’t bother helping him” said the villagers, it’s just a trick.
“No, it’s a real Werewolf” shouted the boy. But it was too late, the Werewolf grabbed him and ate him all up.
