UFO in Holbrook

A myth submitted to the site by Isis

Holbrook, United Kingdom

A young man was camping in a field alongside Ipswich Road in Holbrook Village. He had fallen out with family and needed a place nearby to sleep. He awoke to hear a strange humming sound and noticing a shining light outside that was visible through the fabric of the tent. He thought there must be people outside with torches so he popped his head out of the tent door.

As he did so, he could not believe his eyes as a huge orb was floating above in the air, gently bobbing in the sky. He felt scared but stood up to examine more closely. As he did so, the orb moved very quickly in one large jerking movement towards him. He leapt back into the tent, his heart pounding. He felt petrified but needed to check again, in case his eyes had played tricks on him. He could see the light penetrating through the fabric of the sides of the tent. He eventually persuaded himself to pop his head out of the tent door again and, lo, there it was still hovering just above the tent. It started to move towards him as he stared out of the tent and he quickly returned inside the tent. He could not sleep all night but did not dare leave until morning! The orb had gone by daylight.

On another occasion a few weeks later, the same young man was outside his home a little further up the Ipswich Road, on the opposite side of the road to the field where the previous sighting had occurred. It was early evening and he was looking over to the field reminiscing about the events, when he saw a light, resembling an orb in the far distance. It moved across the sky ahead of him in a straight line, very quickly. Then it appeared to be moving closer to him. He dashed to the rear of the house as the same fear he had felt at the last sighting returned. He popped his head around the side of the house a few times and the orb was still hovering over the field. It only seemed to move closer when he had the orb in sight so he chose not to look for long periods of time. The light it omitted was as bright as it had been in pitch darkness despite it being twilight!

He claims to have had no more sightings since. Locals living on the Ipswich Road have spoken of seeing similar images of an orb or circular light over the field but choose not to speak of it too often to anyone!

I feel I have also seen this orb around up switch road while me and my mates were out camping for a night in the woods! This was really interesting as I am the type who has studied strange appearances, and many people who think you are just imagining it, you may or may not be. I guess we will never know... Thank you for taking the time to read this comment.
