The Powers of Joyce

A myth submitted to the site by Amber

There was a time when it was only fairies that lived, before Jesus, before anything. There were 50 fairies including the queen, but did she know her servant Joyce had more powers than her?

One day, Joyce went up to the queen’s castle and smelt very strong smoke. Then she knocked on the door, went in and shouted “I have had enough of cleaning up after you, you have legs, use THEM!” and the queen said back,
“You are right, I do have legs, Joyce, I was planning on making you queen”. The queen had forgotten something about herself that she was never meant to change. The room fell silent. Joyce heard a voice in her body saying, "is she really asking me to be queen?" They both stared at each other as if they were each others prey. Outside the wind stood still and the blanket of snow got thicker every 5 minutes. Joyce accepted being queen.

On the day of the coronation, Joyce found out she was already queen and the lady was just a lady that was trying to take her powers.
“How dare you!” Joyce said to the queen.
“It is your fault, how? Because you are not a very good person”.

The snow suddenly disappeared and the fake queen was sent away, she was never to be seen again. Everybody was happy that Joyce was now queen and she sent the other lady away.
