The Legend of Robin Hood

A myth submitted to the site by Natasha

Thirsk , England

The sheriff has plotted to capture one of the merry men, Much. His guards surprise Much when he visits his sick grandmother and drag him to see the sheriff. Showing off to his nephew, the sheriff is going to hang Much that afternoon.

As the sheriff is talking to Much, Robin is standing near and can hear them talking about hanging Much. Robin is spying on them. Soon enough it came to the afternoon when Much was going to get hung and he was shaking like a leaf. The sheriff gave out his evil laugh as Much walked up to the thing to get hung then he was prepared and all of a sudden out of nowhere came ''STOP!!''shouted Robin Hood flying through the air with his bow and arrow and in a split second he shot the rope and Much was free!!!

Robin grabbed Much and ran.
''NNOOOO!!'' screamed the sheriff but just then another merrymen caught his eye! He ran quickly to get him but, as it happens Robin hood was passing by and saw the sheriff running after his merrymen and trapped the sheriff! The sheriff had a sharp stick with him so, when Robin wasn't looking he escaped! Robin searched all over for him but then the sheriff trapped Robin and the merrymen so they had seriously done it now!

Just then, when everyone was fast asleep Robin and the merrymen found a way to escape so they did! In the morning, sheriff found out they had gone and strangely he was fed up and started being lazy! It lasted for a month then the sheriff turned back to how he used to so Robin decided to shoot him. After he did the town was never going to be happier!!
