The Red Dragon

A myth submitted to the site by EmilyAllison

There once was a wise Dragon who was called the 'Red Dragon' because he was red and scaly. The king of the land said to his son Prince William "Go and kill the red dragon because I am jealous of him because he has more powers than me".

Prince William sets off on his mission with his sword and shield. He had to travel over 200 hills, 100 rivers, and through 300 woods and then he stopped at a gloomy cave. He looked in and saw the dragon sleeping peacefully in his cave. He jumped in and jumped on the red dragon and said " I am going to kill you". The red dragon said "I need to sing my favourite song before I die".

The dragon sings a gentle song and then Prince William said "I like that song. You know what I'm not going to kill you". The prince and the dragon lived happily ever after.

The moral of the story is not to kill someone when they have not done anything to you and not to be jealous of someone.
