How the Fish became a Dragon

A myth submitted to the site by Josh Stanton

Daymar Bay, England

There once was a little, red, scaly fish who during a violent storm was washed onto the beach by a giant wave.

The fish could still breathe on land but suddenly he realised that the sun was going down and the little fish felt cold and lonely.

Nearby the fish saw bright colours of red, yellow and orange. He heard the crackling of a campfire so he frantically flapped his fins to move himself closer.

All the flapping turned the fish’s fins into spiky, scaly dragon wings.

The fish gasped at his new wings and inhaled the hot flames from the campfire. When he exhaled he breathed out fire forever more.

This is how the fish became a dragon.
