Odysseus and Magmus

A myth submitted to the site by Jack

Odysseus and Magmus

Long, long ago Odysseus and his crew had been fighting a terrible war and they were sailing back to Ithaca. Many of his crew are dead. They saw an island with sheep like buffaloes. Then they felt the ground shake.

They saw a creature with eight eyes and humongous ears - very humongous ears! It was called Magmus. Then they gave it some potion which one of the men had made out of flowers and leaves. Then it fell to the floor. Next Odysseus and his crew walked around the scaly monster. Then it woke up and got eight men of Odysseus’s crew, the rest got on the boat and so did Odysseus. Now they went home.

Odysseus was looking forward to seeing his wife Penelope and Telemachus. He felt great.
