THe Adventures of Odysseus

The Adventures of Odysseus

Long long ago Odysseus and his men were fighting the fierce Trojan wars. Odysseus had just had a fight with Polyphemus. Odysseus and his men had stabbed Polyphemus in his eye and escaped. Polyphemus hurled a humungous rock at their boat but they got away. Poseidon vowed revenge!!!

While they were at sea there was a terrible storm. It blew them out to an island of dark gloomy trees. They took their first step onto the island. It seemed scary but full of fruit. TheY Found a cave to sleep in that night.

At midnight they were fast asleep, when Catathemus ta da came into the cave. Catathemus could kill anyone. Catathemus was a small monster with paws like a penknife and a wooden sword. His teeth were sharp and jagged. He went and stabbed one of Odysseus’s men. they all woke up. Odysseus stepped forward, he took a stroke of his sword and hit catathemus in the neck, making his head fell off.

They all rushed to get on the boat,
They started sailing really hard until they couldn’t see the shore. They happily sailed home to Ithaca where Odysseus knew Penelope his wife and Telemachus his son would be waiting. He was excited and happy to be almost home.
