Esta's Beast

A myth submitted to the site by Miranda

Have you ever heard of the mighty beast named armed? Well this is a story about him and his loving friend.

Long, long, ago there lived a princess named Esta, she always used to play outside in the forest alone.

One day as Esta was doing her daily stroll in the forest, when a loud howl came from up the hill. Esta thought she was just hearing things, when she heard it again, and again, and again. She wondered up the hill to find a small wolf lying there on the edge, prowling in front of the moon. Its shadow glistened in the moonlight and the beasts red eyes glowed. The wolf's head sharply turned to face her, when it's paws quickly moved towards her. Before she new it the wolf had bitten her leg and she lay there in the darkness.

As she lay a loud voice screamed in to her head, "The first you shall see when you wake up will be the one of true love."

After a short period of Esta being asleep, she finally woke up, the wolf hovering over her. The looked in to the wolfs eyes and a warm feeling rushed through her body, and she realised she loved the wolf. It was late and she was expected back at the castle. She smuggles the wolf in her puffy dress and she ran to her bed chamber. From then on the wolf lived in her wardrobe at night and visited her in chamber every day without anyone knowing.

From then on the wolf was know as Esta's beast.
