How Giraffe got its Long Neck

A myth submitted to the site by AAndreei

Timisoara, Romania

At the beginning of time on earth was one continent on which all animals living amongst them was Rick the giraffe.
It was a small animal, normal and weak neck because he could not reach the food. Rick everyday , early in the morning , went in search of food, but almost never was not there, so he had to ask the other animals.

Every night he prayed to the gods for a little food or become taller. But they laughed at him and said they had more important things than helped him.

But one day while looking for food , giraffe Rick sees a small tree that he can reach to eat leaves . He begins to eat the leaves but they do not come off the tree branches . While struggling to eat a single leaf of the tree, the god of earth rocks split between tree and giraffe, so he held on because he was afraid he would fall. Rick 's throat grew bigger and bigger until earth never moved. Now Rick was getting to the tallest trees in Africa.

And this is how giraffe got its long neck and how continents were formed on Earth.
