Sun and Moon

A myth submitted to the site by Maria Cabalero

Long time ago there are two brothers, they both are really strong and energetic, and everyone in the village wants to know who the more powerful one is. As they grew older they start to wonder who is more powerful.

There is one day someone in the village ask them this question and they start a fight. As they are fighting, and all villagers came to see the fight and the God of the world also came to watch the fight too. Both of them think that they have more power and they are the stronger one of two and think they are the best one. Because both the two brothers have almost the same powerful power, so no matter how hard they try to defeat each other, none of them seem going to win this fight, and both of them try really hard.

They fight and fight, finally they come to the third day of fighting; in these three days they never stop fighting each other and both of them doesn’t seem want to stop the fight. God see this and think ” If they don’t stop fighting, both of them will die by using too much energy and tired to death” so the God jump in the fight and stop them, and sent them into the sky announcing ,one of them will be the sun and the other of them will be the moon.

Although they got thrown up into the sky, they still want to fight each other very badly, so they chase each other in the sky, and this is why this is why sun and moon rise and fall today, they only can meet each other once a day and they never gives up on this till now they still do this every day. And this is how Sun and Moon come from, every now says that if brothers like to fight each other and God will take both of them to replace the two brothers, this is now how the parents scared their children to stop them from fighting, and this always works out really good.
