Hercules and Ogre

A myth submitted to the site by Dethern

Covasere, Romany

Once upon a time there was a village called
Covasere. Every morning an Ogre called Ogre Mogre
always comes and takes 2 children and 1 animal.

But one day the ogre took the two princesses, Elsa and Niamh. One man or boy had to go to save them but no-one said a word. The king said,
''I will send out a pebble to every boy and man whoever gets a black pebble has to go".

He did not have to wait long, a normal boy named Hercules got the black one.

He travelled to the mountain and found a door. He knew it lead to the underworld, where Ogre Mogre lived.

Hercules went through the door, there stood Ogre Mogre. He threw his axe at the Ogre and got the two beautiful princesses and carried them both back to the village.

In the village, everyone cheered, and Hercules got to choose his bride. Guess who he chose?

He chose Princess Niamh.
