The Rainbow's Colours

A myth submitted to the site by Emily

Clouds

One day long ago there was a group of 7 little men painting a rainbow on a cloud. Suddenly it started to pour with rain and all the colours they had painted dripped to the ground turning the grass rainbow. The men where disappointed as all their hard work was gone, so they floated down to the ground to collect the colours.

When they found they couldn't just pick up the colours they were very worried. They spent a long time contemplating what to do until the smartest man violet made a suggestion, " Why don't we just pick up the drops and throw them into the sky?" But before they had a chance to put their plan into action the sun had come out and started evaporating the colours into the sky back on to the rainbow board.

When the men returned they had a disscution on what to do. Red thought they should keep going, blue thought they should stop and green thought that everytime it rains, they would make a rainbow in the sky so everyone can remember what happened.
