How the Mermaid was Created

A myth submitted to the site by Jasmine

New town , Australia

A long time ago, a beautiful girl named Clear was walking on the beach she noticed a boat in the water, she approached it "Hey, is anyone in here?" she asked. No one was in the boat she got on and started the engine and was going towards a island.

''Well im here at Mako island" she whispered to her self, she was exploring around and saw a hole in the ground that looked like there was a cave under it.
"OMG what is that" she carefully jumped into the whole. When she got to the bottom she realized that the hole was to far up and she could get out.
''OH NO HOW WILL I GET OUT' she saw something at the corner of her eye she turned and saw a small blue pond under in the cave she looked up and saw the moon rising threw the hole "a moon pool?" she asked. It was a moon pool it was really deep but she saw that the bottom led somewhere. "shoot maybe if I go threw it it will lead to the ocean and I could get out"

She quickly took off her shoes and her pants and top shirt (she had shorts , and a under shirt on) she jumped in the water and got scared because the water stared bubbling and she looked up it was the moon shining on the water she went under and finally got to the ocean - a police boat took her home.

The next morning she was going to take a bath she got in and bubbles started to form around her legs she began to feel cold and then there so quickly a TAIL appeared she got scared and screamed "ahhhhhhhh" she yelled her whole house heard "sweetie are u ok?" her mom asked her mom was about to open the door and then with Clears hand she froze the door - that's how mermaids were created
