The devil

A myth submitted to the site by Alanna Evered-MacRae

In the west end, 1550 there lived the Devil. The Devil was evil and monstrous. No one dared to go into his deep, dark, eerie cave. The Devil loved to eat everyone’s soul.
At the stroke of midnight three evil old hags with one eye between them would pick the one. The chosen one will be put into eternal slumber and when the one was awoken they would be DOOMED!!!

The Devil would stare for hours into the victims eyes until he had ate every last drop of the chosen ones soul.
One day a brave young man called Sir Cedric Robins wanted to get rid of the Devil once and for all. The young man wanted to do this so he would do no harm to anyone because the heartless Devil had killed his mother, father, grandpa and grandma. Cedric was an only child so that meant he had no brothers or sisters.

At dawn, when the Devil was least powerful Cedric set off. After climbing up the highest mountains, swimming the longest rivers and running the longest miles Cedric had finally reached the Devil cave.
The cave was foul, old and damp. Although Cedric knew the Devil was much more powerful than he was, he took out his fathers holy sword and walked in.
The smell of the Devils cave was unpleasant and revolting. Cedric was struggling to breathe.
No one knows what happened next. But all I know is that Sir Cedric Robins was never to return.

You story is truely amazing. If I had a test to do on a myth on the internet, I would've copied and pasted your story and then printed it off! That's how exciting your story was!!!!! :)
