Layla and the Stunkler

A myth submitted to the site by Khadija

Athens, England

Once upon a time a young girl called Layla she lost her father. 2 years later her mum got married to another man . Soon her step father tried to make her happy she had 2 new cousins Zainab and Ibrahim.

Layla was becoming spoilt she bossed everyone around as if they were her servants, her parents did not notice . On the 6th of June it was her birthday she became 12. She felt bored of her party even though she decorated it. She went out for a walk she saw a hole she knew that it had to lead somewhere . She told Zainab to go down the hole but Zainab did not listen. Layla told Ibrahim to go but he refused.

So Layla went in herself as soon as she got there she saw dead trees. She met a skunk soon she heard footsteps and the smell got stronger. She climbed up a tree she was safe. All of a sudden she heard a small voice it was a little man the size of a tooth pick. He explained to her that he is a Picktea and what was chasing her was a Stunkler.

They didn't know his weakness until she saw him run away from a lake she made a plan. Layla and the head of Picktea's flew on a giant swan and poured water all over the Stunkler. He turned to ashes she was safe but one Picktea didn't believe her and forced her to do things to prove it. Later she got annoyed and knew how it felt to be bossed around.

She went home and had changed herself, her cousins started to like her more better and knew she changed.
