How the Elephant got a Long Trunk

A myth submitted to the site by Maisie W

A long time ago in the east coast of Africa lived an elephant called Ella.

One day Ella was very thirsty so she decided to go to the waterhole. She went down to the waterhole to get some water but a crab bit its trunk and she tried to pull it but it just got longer and every elephant thought that was cool. That’s why elephants have long trunks.

Elephants need long trunks to get food from up high in the trees.
