The giant squid and the sea 1st February

A myth submitted to the site by Vivien L.

Crete, Greece

Once there was a big squid. He lived on the beach with his friends. He was happy with his life. One day a huge storm struck and hit all the fields. All the trees, grass and flowers. One day the massive squid went up to the fields where the trees, grass and flowers once were. His friends followed him and when they went in it was to cold.

The next time they saw it they gurgled with fear. Then the gigantic squid waddled away. Then huge boulders grew and tiny little things started to jump. Then tiny and long green strips grew from the boulders.

When it was summer the squid tried the soaking pool and it was nice, so they stayed in there. Finally they tried the things that swam. They used them. So from then on squid ate fish and lived in the sparkly ocean.
