A myth submitted to the site by Eleri Williams

In a spooky town, america

Once upon a time there lived a handsome looking man with a freshly cut beard, called Gareth. He was having a walk around the woods and on his way back he bumped into a hard old rotten wall and that wasn't a ordinary wall it was death frightening haunted mansion. Gareth said to himself "I am not afraid of anything!" So Gareth thought that it would be funny to go into the mansion, but when he got to the front creaky gates he read the sign, "ENTER IF YOU DARE!" But Gareth didn't care what the sign had said.

He then started to walk calmly to the door. So he barged open the door and at the front of the door there was a elderly, suspicious lady standing there and her name was called Mary. As soon as Gareth saw Mary he fell in love with her straight away, but what he didn't know was that Mary was a ghost. She loved to scream so loud it would pierce your ears. When Gareth calmed down, Mary started to scream at the top of her lungs. Gareth went to see what the matter was but unfortunately when he knew what the matter was he realised that she was a deadly vicious ghost and ran out the door shouting to safe his life "NOW I REALISE WHAT THE SIGN MEANT!"

Gareth got out alright but not safely. He didn't realise that behind the mansion was a rusty graveyard full of deadly spirits. This elderly lady had called over the dead. Then there was a army of bad spirits running towards him. Until a pretty looking girl who swiped away all the bad spirits back to where they belong.
"What was that?" Gareth said.
"I am the power of good." she said, "I serve with God." Gareth was speechless. "Th...Tha...Thank you." he said. "You are most welcome"
When Gareth got home in shock, he sat down and turned on the TV, until there was a bang, the TV had blown up! "How did that happen?" Next minute the elderly lady jumped out and grabbed him and he was never seen again.

This story has some detail and plot, but lacks much information and grammar to make it tense or intriguing for the reader. Try to add more speech as well as a past for Gareth. Also, don't try to rush the end but (this is optional) create a cliffhanger to had to the tension.
