Victor and the Tigron

A myth submitted to the site by Mitchell Wan

Taipei, Taiwan

Greece Long ago when the cavemen haven’t existed, a city in called the Athens a mean and selfish king ruled the land. He told his men to tell all the villagers to give more and more food to him. All the villagers were starving, so the villagers had no food to give to the gods. All the gods were starving too! So Zeus was furious, he told the fiercest animal in hell to come to earth, but protecting the villagers, Zeus put the scary animal called Tigron in the dark Forest, called Dark Devil.

The next morning a strange thing happened the prince was gone .The king was so worried that he told all the guards to stick posters everywhere, to say who could find his son could marry his daughter, Lauran. But when the King founds out that Tigron captured his prince, he decided it was too late. So the king said that ten men and ten women had to go to the Dark Forest is be eaten by Tigron, so that Tigron wont eat his prince! Meanwhile a man called Victor was very angry about this rule, because Tigron. So he said he would be the one to be eaten by Tigron had eaten his grandfather and mum. When he got to the palace the king gave them lots of food and wine. To make them be very fat Soon Lauran fell in love with Victor.

When it was time when he was about to be kicked in the Dark devil. When Athena appeared in front of him and told him that she was very proud of his braveness. So she gave him the sword of ice, which could shoot ice and freeze his enemy to death, and a shield that could never burn and a helmet that could let him fly.

When he went into the Dark Devil he heard howling sounds and people screaming. But it was too dark to see anything. So he flew up to the top of the trees to have more light. When he saw Tigron, he stopped he saw his hideous eye’s flaming with fire, and 2 rows of razor of razor sharp teeth filled with blood dripping down. And millions of horns sticking out of his head like a hedgehog. His evil eyes stared at Victor. Victor gave a little shiver but landed bravely on the ground. He took out his deadly ice sword and a shield, made out of metal that never burned. He ran bravely to the terrifying monster and gave him a shot by a dagger, but got swiped by Tigron ’s deadly tail. He landed injured and bloody, his knee was filled with blood dripping down, but he stood up. When Tigron gave him a deadly blast of fire he used his shield to defend, but couldn’t run away. At last Tigron couldn’t wait to kill him, he ran towards Victor slamming millions of horns on his shield, but Victor fought bravely, just then when he was about to be killed by Tigron, he grabbed his head and stabbed him in the heart by his ice sword, Tigron gave a loud cry and fell to the ground. He wanted to stand up, but was freezing to death, soon Tigron was freezed.

Victor ran to the prince, who was locked on a stone, but he used all his might to break the metal lock. At last the lock was cut into half and it froze. Then he took hold of the prince’s hand and flew away Dark Devil. When they arrived the palace. The king was half surprised and half joyed. He ran to the prince and hugged as hard as he could, then he immediately called lauyrn to marry him. The king convince that he could never be selfish and not to be cruel. Victor and lauryn married and lived happily ever after and so the villagers too!

Kristin, it sounds like you are looking for a sphinx; that's the monster that asked riddles and ate anyone who couldn't answer. The animal in this story sounds like a manticore - human face, lion's body and a tail full of spikes which it could fire like darts.
