Most know the great theme park called Alton Tower, but it wasn't always a theme park, it was just the towers and in the ninetenth century the Earl was traveling to the towers.

He was in his carriage when there was a sudden jolt and looked to see a old beggar woman come to the window begging him to spare a coin for a old wanderer. The Earl ignoored the old begar and disgarded her, outraged, the old woman screamed out a curse to the Earl as he rode away into the night saying that if a branch should fall off the old oak tree a member of the Earl's family shall die.

That very night when they were onening the new banquet hall there was a horrible storm and a strike of lighening hit the old oak tree, braking off a branch. Soon later a memeber of the Earl's family died from a unexplainable death.

The next day the Earl ordered the tree to be chained all over to prevent another branch from falling... but the story doen't end there. The Earl took the branch that fell off the tree and took it away to be experimented on. He hid it in the towers in a secret vault and studyed it. Science versus the supernatual.

Year later (about now to be honest) workers and builders found a secret passageway behind a bookshelf in the towers and went down through the tunnel. To they're amazment, just like the old legend said.... was the vault and inside was the branch that had fallen off the tree!
