The Little Girl Who Saved Christmas

A myth submitted to the site by Meggy Moo

North Pole, North Pole

One day the little girl called Mia from next door ran outside with her suitcase, today was the day she was going to the North Pole to visit Santa.

Mia arrived rather late but ran out into the frosty white snow. She made snow angels and everything.

She found a little elf and asked if she could see Santa. Sadly to her disappointment the elf said, “Sorry but Santa’s soooo busy wrapping presents and sorting them into the different countries that they’re going to.

The elf showed her where the packaging room was. There were hundreds of little elves helping get ready for Christmas.

Her mum called her inside. Their holiday house was amazing! It had everything she had wished for. She ran upstairs to her room it was even better than downstairs. It had a 48inch T.V, a double bed and a window looking out onto Santas workshop.

Her mum called her down for supper. She had mince pie. It was delicious. It was made by Mrs Claus (Santa’s wife).

Mia went upstairs to bed and shortly fell asleep as she was so tired from the journey.

At 1.18am she woke with a startle she heard a little elf calling out “HELP”. She quickly got changed and went out into the cold misty night.

She ran upto the elf and asked what was wrong. The elf wept. “I am afraid that there is going to be no Christmas because santa has the flu.”

“Couldn’t I help?” said Mia in a quiet voice.

“Of cource you can but just go and put some warmer clothes on.”

She put on some warmer clothes and ran outside. She jumped into the sleigh.

They were in the air.

On the first rooftop Mia hopped into the chimmney to deliver the gifts.

They had one more place to deliver presents to. But then the elf said, “Mia what did you ask for for Christmas?”

“I already got the Christmas present I asked for,” she said.

“And what was that?”

“I asked for a white Christmas.”

As soon as they delivered the last presents they turned round and headed back to the North Pole.

Mia went into Mrs Claus’s kitchen and made a batch of chocolate yule logs for Santa.

She went to ask the elf if he could give them to santa and the elf said as you have been so helpful this christmas you may go and give them to him yourself. Thank you soo much.

The elf showed me where santa was and showed me in.

“Hello, Santa, I am Mia. I made some yule logs for you. I came to stay here for a few days as a treat from Mum because my Dad and brother Martin have gone to Spain on a vacation.

Mia said, “Thank you for everything, Santa. This has been the best Christmas I have ever had”.

Mia’s mum came running out to her and asked, “Where have you been? I have been so worried about you”

They walked back to the house and Mia and her mum sat on the soft fluffy white sofa as Mia told her mum everything that had happened.

This is how Mia, the girl from next door, saved Christmas.

The End
