It was coming near Christmas and there were three little girls who wanted a little puppy from Santa. Their mummy refused because their landlord did not allow animals in the house, but their daddy said they could still ask Santa for just a little one.
When the little girls were writing their Christmas list, they all wrote down a puppy. Their daddy took them to see Santa and they gave him their list. So when their mummy and daddy got them to bed that night, they phoned their landlord and asked could they please have a little puppy for the children because that was all they talk about and want from Santa. Their landlord said that was okay.
On Christmas Eve, the little girls got a bath and went to bed early and were really excited because Santa was coming in the morning. They never went to sleep for a long time. When they got up in the morning they woke their mummy and daddy and ran downstairs, but there was no puppy in beside their toys in the living room. They were very disappointed, but one of the girls went to get a drink in the kitchen and there it was – a beautiful little puppy. She called her sisters and mummy and daddy. They all jumped around hugging their mummy and daddy and shouting, “Thank you, Santa!” They took turns hugging the puppy and for the rest of Christmas they were the happiest little girls.
They always took turns feeding and walking their puppy. They called it Spikey. Everything turned out well in the end!
