Anna and the Dragon

A myth submitted to the site by Poppy Walsh

One day Anna was collecting flowers by the shimmering stream when a shadow filled the sky and it was a terrible dragon.

Anna ran and ran and ran until she got home. her mother said Anna what are you doing? Anna said I am being chased by a dragon. Her mother looked out of the window and said you are right then the looked at Anna and made her scream this frightened the dragon away.

All the villagers came out and were happy then the mayor came out and said well done Anna for scaring away the dragon now you have to kill him. Anna said I cannot kill that big dragon but the mayor said you frightened him away so you can kill him.

Then anna went on her way when she met an old woman who said take this sword and it will help you kill the dragon. Anna went up to the dragons cave and saw the dragon asleep, Anna crept in and stabbed the dragon through the heart while it was asleep when she got back to the village they all had a big party to thank Anna for slaying the dragon.
